Our staff will keep you safe and protected in the following ways:
-Each chair and space a client will come in to contact will be fully sanitized with medical-grade sanitizer before each client sits in the chair.
-All implements used will be sanitized thoroughly with medical-grade sanitizers and/or UV sanitizing.
-All staff will wear masks and use proper PPE at all times inside the space.
-We will temporarily not be performing blowdries to minimize the time each person is inside the space, until Alameda County is out of the Purple tier.
-Regular hand washing.
-Regular sanitation of all surfaces.
-All staff will be working shortened hours due to the fatigue experienced while working in a mask for long hours and all the extra cleaning we will be doing in between each guest's visit.
-Daily temperature checks for all staff.
-Our barbers will temporarily not be allowed to perform any services that require a mask be removed; No face shaves, no mustache trims, and limited beard services.
*This is what we will ask of you for you to visit Revival*
-A waiver will be sent to you via Vagaro, our booking App, along with the 48hr reminder/confirmation, for you to complete and submit before your visit with us. This waiver is required prior to all services at Revival barber+beauty.
-To visit us,and keep us and our guests safe, you must have no symptoms of Covid-19 in the last 14 days. You must not have had any contact with anyone with symptoms of Covid-19 in the last 14 days. You must not have been around anyone with Covid-19 in the last 14 days.
-All people inside the salon will be required to wear masks at all times including inside the restroom. We will also have disposable masks available for all guests that are more protective than cloth with no filters. We also may have to use paper/sensitive skin medical tape to tape the mask in place to reach all parts of your hair.
-Upon arriving, you will be asked to call/text your barber/stylist and wait in your car, or outside the shop. When the stylist or barber is ready, they will text/call you and meet you outside for a quick touchless temperature check which we will log and document. Then you will be given an optional disposable mask to change into.
-Only one guest per service provider will be allowed inside at all times. Unless medically needed attendant is present.
-We will not be seeing children under 14, or who need a parent present. We have so many clients who have been patiently waiting to come in and we need to prioritize the adults at this time.
-Drinking and eating will not be allowed inside Revival at any time.
-We will ask that you only bring necessary things to Revival.
-We will temporarily not allow pets inside the space unless they are service animals.
-We prefer touchless payments via Venmo/PayPal, touch-less card payments - and if you have to swipe a card we will have to charge a no sign fee to avoid contact with our devices. Cash is welcome.
-Retail will not be allowed to be touched by guests until it is yours. Your barber or stylist will bag it for you and it can be paid by touch-less payment or can be invoiced to you.
-We ask that you come in with freshly cleaned, and preferably, dried hair to all appointments. Because we will not be providing blowdries after services until it is proven to be safe, an optional and complementary treatment for shine, moisture or repair to the end of all services, either to go home in and rinse for maximum treatment, or they can be rinsed and towel-dried before leaving the shop.
-We will not be activating online booking until we have contacted and rebooked all previously canceled clients. We all have so many people to get in and need to have space for as many people as we can get in.
-Please understand we will all be charging a little bit more per service is not something we want to do, but we have no choice but to charge a little more per hour/service to cover costs of not being able to see as many guests and we will need to make up new costs for staff for PPE. This doesn't mean we are doubling service charges, just that there will be slight increases and PPE charges added to services. Likely each service will have a 5-20 increase depending on the time of the service provided.
-Lastly, please be patient with our staff and potential rescheduling. Because there is no way for us to know what is unfolding and how this will all go, there will be sudden changes and the schedule will surely inevitably have to change things around due to Covid-19 related incidents and potential childcare issues.
We know this is all a lot and we appreciate you taking the time to read it all and digest it. This is not the exciting part about reopening, but it's a critical part. We appreciate your support and your cooperation in keeping Revival a safe place for us to work, and for you to receive hair care services.
